About this animal

Syrian hamsters are the classic children's first pet, and almost always housed wrongly. They are solitary: two Syrians in one cage will fight until one dies. They also need far more floor space and deeper bedding than a standard pet shop cage provides. Get those two things right and they are easy, charming animals.
