About this animal

Cockatiels are the gentlest of the parrots commonly kept at home: affectionate, quiet by parrot standards and happy to sit on a shoulder for an evening. This male was hand-reared, steps up reliably and already copies household whistles. He needs either a companion bird or several hours of human company each day.
